Catch Pokémon without going out
PGSharp is a mobile utility app that enables you to spoof your Pokémon GO experience. Developed by PGS TECH LIMITED, this tool allows you to control your avatar’s movements on the real-time location-tracking map without having to actually move on your own. The app offers a free 7-day trial license and a Standard Edition with a monthly subscription for two devices—as unlike other apps of such nature, you don’t need to have your device rooted.
Safe from rooting
Pokémon GO is a 2016 free-to-play augmented reality (AR) mobile video game developed and published by Niantic in collaboration with The Pokémon Company. It’s one of the many games of the Pokémon franchise and uses your device’s GPS to locate, capture, battle, and train Pokémon—which appear as if they are in the player's real-world location. However, this means that to encounter Pokémon, you have to actually go outside and explore.
Fortunately, some apps allow you to bypass this requirement. PGSharp is what’s called a modified app or spoofer app, which functions similarly to Pokémon GO but doesn’t need the GPS to track your movements. With this app, you can instead use a joystick to move around, use the auto-walk feature in a generated GPX route by entering the number of Pokéstops you see, hatch eggs in a similar way, and even teleport in the map.
However, while you don’t need to root your device, the app is still tricky to get. For one, there are two versions available—Free Trial and Standard Edition—but they both have limited key licenses. You must check the app’s Telegram group for those. Another issue is that this app is at high risk of being banned, so it’s recommended to use an alternate or new Pokémon Trainer Club account—and you’ll have to start at Level 1.
At your own risk
Overall, PGSharp is quite handy but it also has its upsides and downsides. It allows remote play for up to two devices on the paid monthly subscription but you can’t use your main Pokémon GO account in case the app ever gets banned for its spoofing activities. Nevertheless, this is a great no-root method for those who don’t want to root their devices.
